Felician Mwilenga, Director of Operations, Legal Affairs and Administration

Grown up from side country life whereby potential and capable individuals with difficult living standards are rarely reached. From there I believe that "anyone with difficult living standards can live independently and contribute to socio-economic development ONLY if their basic living requirements are met". It is this belief that inspired me to be one of the founders of this wonderful organization, Ability First Tanzania.

Richard Louis, Director of Accounts, Human Resources, Logistics and Procurement

Born in one of the small towns in Tanzania, and lived there for years, I have seen many people and families struggling with many challenges including poverty, illiteracy, and poor health environments. As I grew up my grandfather taught me many useful lessons in life including the need to help other people to address and find solutions to their challenges. He was a good example to me as he was always there for this people and community.

Dr. Anna Daniel, Director of Environment and Climate Change

Working as a university lecturer for some time has given me an opportunity to meet many young students with great dreams. Among them, some have disabilities which make it hard for them to cope with the existing daily environments. This has inspired me to be more giving and helpful to others as much as I can so that every one of us even those with disabilities and the less privileged gets to fulfill their dreams in life.

Rehema Mdong"ala, Deputy Director of Accounts, Human Resources, Logistics and Procurement

I am a professional accountant who enjoys doing charity works. I believe in equal rights to all human beings and that every person has goals and contribution in their community.

I have seen some of my childhood friends failing to achieve their goals due to factors like poverty, being born or living with a disability, and early pregnancies due to lack of proper reproductive health knowledge. This poses as a great loss because some of those people could have a large impact on their families and the nation as a whole.

I know that a successful person is the one who is a helping hand to those in need. Working with and supporting Ability First Tanzania makes me become one.
